此幅「財寶天王」唐卡刺繡,以萬千彩線為顏料,以細密針法為筆觸,再現藏傳佛教護法神的赫赫威儀與慈悲願力。財寶天王身為北方多聞天王化身,主司財富與護法,於唐卡中穩坐於白獅之上,象徵制伏一切障礙、護持正法。其面如滿月,目含威光,身披金甲與天衣綢裙,右手高擎尊勝寶幡,喻示降魔勝利與無邊庇護;左手輕托吐寶鼠,鼠口傾吐摩尼寶珠,象徵財富如雨,源源不絕。整幅畫嚴謹而恢宏,主尊居於中心,上下分置小佛,左右祥雲、蓮華、珍寶環繞,形成一座穩定、豐饒、光華流轉的視覺壇城。
【金針刺繡,織出佛國光】
作品之精魂,在於將唐卡繪畫的絢麗與刺繡工藝的細膩合而為一。平針繡構建主體,以金黃、朱紅、寶藍、翠綠等數十種絲線,層層疊繡,營造出天王肌膚的飽滿、衣袍的厚重與甲胄的璀璨,色彩鮮明,立體感呼之欲出。打籽繡點綴於飄帶、小佛衣飾等處,以顆顆飽滿的線結形成獨特的肌理,於華麗中增添協調與精緻。獅子的鬃毛與火焰背光採用滾針與虛實針結合,毛流畢現,虛實相生,充滿動感。背景的每一朵祥雲、每一片花葉,皆以針線勾勒出從實到虛、由粗至細的靈動韻律。更以圈金繡勾勒關鍵紋樣,金線流轉之處,光華灼灼,令整體畫面在莊重深邃的黑色背景下,更顯輝煌奪目,宛如佛國真實現前。

[The Dharma Image’s Awe-Inspiring Majesty, Riding a Lion to Pacify the Eight Directions]
This thangka embroidery of “Vaishravana, the Treasure King” employs countless colored threads as its pigment and meticulous needlework as its brushstrokes, vividly recreating the majestic dignity and compassionate vow-power of this Dharma Protector in Tibetan Buddhism. As an emanation of the northern guardian Vaishravana, the Treasure King presides over wealth and protection. Within the thangka, he sits steadfastly upon a white lion, symbolizing the subjugation of all obstacles and the upholding of the true Dharma. His face is like the full moon, his eyes hold a威严 radiance, and he is clad in golden armor and celestial silks. His right hand raises high the Victorious Banner, signifying triumph over evil and boundless shelter; his left hand gently cradles a mongoose that pours forth wish-fulfilling jewels from its mouth, representing wealth showering down like rain, an endless, continuous flow. The entire composition is rigorous and grand. The main deity resides at the center, with smaller buddhas arranged above and below. Auspicious clouds, lotuses, and treasures encircle the left and right, forming a visual mandala that is stable, abundant, and radiant with flowing brilliance.
[Golden Needles Embroider, Weaving the Light of the Buddha Realm]
The essence of this work lies in uniting the resplendence of thangka painting with the refinement of embroidery artistry. Satin stitch constructs the main forms, using dozens of hues of silk thread like golden yellow, vermilion, jewel blue, and emerald green. Layer upon layer of stitching builds up the fullness of the deity’s skin, the richness of his robes, and the brilliance of his armor—the colors vibrant, the three-dimensionality palpable. Forbidden stitch adorns flowing ribbons and the attire of the small buddhas, creating a unique texture with plump, granular knots, adding harmony and exquisite detail amidst the opulence. The lion’s mane and the flaming aureole employ a combination of rolling stitch and void-solid stitch, rendering each hair strand distinct, blending solid and void, full of dynamism. Every auspicious cloud and every floral leaf in the background is outlined with needle and thread, creating a lively rhythm that shifts from solid to void, from bold to delicate. Furthermore, gold couching outlines key patterns; where the gold thread flows, the light shines dazzlingly, making the entire image, set against a solemn, deep black background, appear even more magnificent and resplendent, as if the Buddha Realm were truly manifest.
